Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel brooked no argument as he dominated Sunday’s Korean race, snatching the lead from Lewis Hamilton after the polesitter had led into the first corner and thereafter pulling away to a superb 10th seasonal triumph that left him 12s clear by the end.

 McLaren’s Jenson Button always wanted to win the Japanese race at Suzuka, and on Sunday afternoon he finally did so in dominant style after early leader Sebastian Vettel ran into tyre wear. But third place for the 24 year-old German, separated from Button by Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, was sufficient to clinch him a second consecutive world championship.

Vettel had to play second fiddle initially to the fast-starting Ferrari of Fernando Alonso, and then trail him obediently behind the safety car after an out-of-control Tonio Liuzzi spun down the grass on the inside going into Turn One and triggered mayhem at the start which accounted for his HRT, Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes and Vitaly Petrov’s Renault.

 Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber turned the tables emphatically on McLaren and Ferrari to score a dominant Red Bull one-two in a gripping Grand Prix in Belgium on Sunday.
The race began with slow-starting Jaime Alguersuari in the Toro Rosso being hit at La Source by Bruno Senna’s Renault, who later received a drive-through penalty. Further back, Timo Glock hit Paul di Resta’s Force India, the Virgin driver also receiving the same penalty.
